The walls I raised came crumbling down
A bridge to me you made over the moat
My heart you stole,
As though it were a crown
My love, my life and all of the spoils
You ferried off on a boat
Before you came, I guess I was whole
But since you left, I’m empty and in ruins
The nights grow cold
The flowers wilt
The grasses all die
Even the birds they sing a different but sad tune
I’m fast asleep, as I look to hide under my quilt
Hoping that when I awake all will return
